Minnesota Boat Club on Raspberry Island

Located on lovely Raspberry Island, this historic location has been home to Minnesota’s oldest athletic institution since 1870. This riverside venue features breathtaking views of the Capital City skyline, the Wabasha Street Bridge and the Mighty Mississippi. Enjoy the incredible ambience from an outdoor veranda that offers additional space for seating or mingling.

Inside, the Boat Club is adorned with antique furnishings accented by period lighting and a beautiful wooden-beamed ceiling. This warm and inviting space is made for entertaining and can seat as many as 150 guests for an elegant sit-down dinner or host up to 200 for a more causal, standing cocktail-style event.

Nicollet Island Pavilion

Nestled on the banks of the river across from downtown Minneapolis and surrounded by beautiful park grounds, historic Nicollet Island Pavilion is one of the most enchanting venues in the Twin Cities. The stately Pavilion can seat 500 guests for an elegant wedding reception dinner, or up to 1500 for a more casual cocktail-style reception.

The award-winning pavilion offers outdoor options that are limitless—no matter the season. A spacious patio offers vistas of the downtown Minneapolis cityscape and the Stone Arch Bridge. A large permanent tent shelters the patio area and is perfect for dancing, mingling, dining and even your wedding ceremony.

Chateau at Medicine Lake

Located in charming Medicine Lake, the Château is your ideal relaxed retreat within minutes of downtown Minneapolis. Gorgeous natural landscaping surrounds the Château’s private three-acre setting. Your guests can enjoy mingling amidst the peaceful outdoor surroundings from the Château’s spacious patio and grounds, which include space for a lovely outdoor ceremony.

Inside, the Château’s recently renovated interiors feature elegant fireplaces, rich woodwork, window-lined walls, radiant skylights and a built-in custom dance floor. As many as 230 guests can enjoy a seated dinner at this exceptional venue.

Campion Rose Burns Catering provides full service catering, party planning and event management to meet any catering need from corporate luncheons to wedding receptions and backyard barbecues. Every affair begins with an experienced event consultant, Marlene Fitzer helps design each menu and coordinates food and presentation to ensure a successful event. Our menus are designed with tried and true traditional recipes developed by Chef Kendal Fitzer or gleaned from the recipe catalogues of Campion and Rose Burns Catering, and prepared with only quality ingredients. Owners Kendal and Marlene Fitzer have been in the catering business together for over twenty years, and the traditions of Campion and Rose Burns Catering beckon to over a half a century of service to the Twin Cities. The Fitzers took over the reins of Campion Catering in 1987 and Rose Burns in 1999.

Blaisdell Manor

Nestled in South Minneapolis, Blaisdell Manor is a unique and historic mansion -- the ideal setting for your special event. The Georgian-style architecture and warm interior welcomes your guests with style and elegance. A wood-burning fireplace crackles during the cold Minnesota months.

Built in 1910, the mansion is rich with Minneapolis history. It boasts the only attached Grand Ballroom with a vaulted ceiling in the Twin Cities which seats up to 300 of your guests for a plated meal or a ceremony for 400 guests.

The second level Windus Room has an open floor plan. The first level Bovey Room features bay windows and a wood-burning fireplace. A bridal room and separate groom’s room are also available.
